Collection: CLEANSES

 We advise that everyone ease into and out of a cleanse, no matter how long you intend to cleanse for. You may eat very light foods like fruits, vegetables, salads, non-creamy soups if hunger becomes too intense. Avoid fried foods, dairy, and heavily processed foods 1-2 days before and after your cleanse. Alcohol is also to be avoided before and after a cleanse. Get as much rest and sleep as you can. Try not to physically exert yourself on cleanse days, if needed do something light (ex. walking, or yoga).

Here are a few rules of thumb for completing a juice cleanse:

• Plan your cleanse on days that you have the least amount of outside pressure.
• It doesn't matter what time you drink your juices, just as long as you drink them when you are hungry. We recommend every 2 hours. 
• It doesn't matter if you drink each juice in one "sitting" or sip on it, as long as you are drinking majority of the juices each day.
• If you do not finish all 6 each day it is okay. Save them because your hunger level from day to day will fluctuate and you may need more than 6 the next day.
• If you are drinking all 6 and still extremely hungry, eat raw fruit, vegetables, or raw nuts (not roasted or salted). It will not break the cleanse and will help you continue on and complete your cleanse.
• Drink a lot of water. Even though you are drinking your meals, your body may become slightly dehydrated due to the fact that it is working so hard to detoxify itself. Drinking water will keep your energy up, keep you fuller longer, and keep away any headaches you might experience. You can add lemon or cucumber to it to aid in detoxification.
• Plan light meals for the first 1-2 days after the cleanse so you don’t binge (no dairy or grains containing gluten).
• Do it with a friend or coworker! There is nothing like having someone who you can talk to about what you are doing!!
